Men Portraits
Oil paintings of men are shown in both formal and informal poses. The first three men’s portraits are all permanently on display at various corporate headquarters. Corporate Portraits or Portraits of Men who are to be honored for their philanthropy are my specialty. Then there is that special gift you can give to the man who has everything. Such is Larry Plevy’s portrait – a gift of love for his 60th The celebrity “Vanilla Ice” commissioned me to paint his oil portrait for his national DIY television show where I was filmed presenting it to him. It is now proudly displayed in his home in Wellington, FL.
I have also been interviewed on television and radio both in New York City as well as Palm Beach/Wellington Florida
Mayor Ed Koch‘s portrait was a pleasure to paint, as well as a challenge because he was actually quite tall. What made it very special was that I worked with him in person.
Some people, like myself (as well as Mayor Koch) , do not photograph well. And in every case people look so much better in real life. That is when a portrait can truly do a person justice. As a portrait artist, I can capture that special look, glance, tilt of the head, and smile more readily when the subject is right in front of me.
A man’s portrait needs to show the strength in the angles of his face, as well as using colors that highlight his dignity, his charisma and perhaps even his playfulness.
Please feel free to call me so we can discuss your ideas for your special man. Be it a corporate portrait or a special portrait of a loved one – it would be a privilege to create a man’s oil portrait you can treasure.
