Portrait of a Woman Luncheon

For the fourth year in a row, the magic has happened again, when on February 26th, 2015 Renee Plevy, Artist/Founder and Roberta Mambrino, Co-Chair, hosted the 4th Annual Portrait of a Woman luncheon benefiting Quantum house at the Colony Hotel, Palm Beach. Five amazing women from all four sections of Palm Beach County were honored for their contributions to our community. Friends and family cheered the Honorees on when Tim Byrd introduced them, showing the beautiful video interview done by Jack Schulman, and finally the unveiling their oil portraits painted and gifted by renowned artist Renee Plevy. Our Honorary Co-chairs this year were Irma Anapol and Rosemary Krieger.

It was a fun, feel good, joyous and magical occasion. The 160 attendees left feeling invigorated with life.

These special Honorees were: Arlette Gordon the Matriarch – representing all of Palm Beach County, Julie Kime (Wellington), Roe Green (Jupiter/Tequesta), Holli Rockwell (Boca Raton), and Ellen Tansey who represented the Palm Beaches.

Guests were given mini portraits of the Honorees on mini easels as a special gift.

There are now 23 Honorees and Matriarchs who have been honored by Portrait of a Woman.
All 23 portraits were exhibited as part of the Legacy Series which has been shown throughout all of Palm Beach County.

Roberta Jurney, CEO of Quantum House spoke of their supportive home and the many services they provide for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition. They are also expanding this year to be able to treat up to 30 families.

“Portrait of a Woman” Colony Hotel Reunion Dinner Celebrates raising $54,000 for Quantum House

On March 4th, at the Colony Hotel, Portrait of a Woman held its annual dinner for all past Honorees and spouses, as well as unique members of Portrait of a Woman. It was a reunion and a celebration —–raising $54,000 for Quantum House in 2015. The Honorees from 2015 were: Matriarch Arlette Gordon, Holli Rockwell, Julie Kime, Roe Green, and Ellen Tansey. Honorary Co-Chairwomen were: Irma Anapol, and Rosemary Krieger. Co- Chair – Roberta Mambrino.

At the luncheon, each Honoree was presented with an original oil portrait painted by Master Portrait artist, Renee Plevy, at the Colony Hotel. 180 attended. Renee Plevy is also the founder and Chairwoman of Portrait of a Woman.

At the Annual Portrait of a Woman Reunion Dinner, Elizabeth Portmess of Quantum House presented the Portrait of a Woman group with an engraved crystal vase to thank them for their support.

Attending were Matriarch Dorothy Sullivan, Founder/portrait artist Renee Plevy, Honoree Holli Rockwell Trubinsky and Joe Trubinsky, Honoree Marcie Gorman -Althof and Stanley Althof, Tim Byrd and wife Sally Byrd, Jack Schulman-videographer, and Brianne Ford- party planner. Also joining the group was Rob Russell from the Colony Hotel and Elizabeth Portmess from Quantum House.
